The main objective of the project is social inclusion of children with mental disabilities
through special education for development of their skills and talents by inhibition of all
capabilities and appropriate activities in line with their psychophysical characteristics.
Specific objectives:
- development of conscious and cognitive processes
- development of memory and adequate perceptions of colors and sounds
- development of fine motor skills and eye-hand connection
- enriching of the communication and the social skills and behavior of children with
developmental disabilities
This project insured development of educational software applications with multimedia
background effects turned into children’s computer games appropriate for the age and
knowledge of the children. These computer applications will enable development of the
motor functions of the arm muscles with appropriate coordination and orientation in the 2D
space on the screen. That will be enabled by aiming towards the correct location of a certain
object when aiming towards the correct object the player receives a sound signal. When an
incorrect object is being aimed, another sound is being received and the action needs to be
repeated. The accent is put on the benefits from the sound effects which will enable
improvement of the hearing abilities of the user i.e. the child selected. The educational games
are going to be divided into several modules.
